Best with use of dry brushing
Moisturizing, nourishing, and replenishing
Calendula infused oil with Vitamin E and essential oil blend
To use with dry brushing, add 3–5 drops of the diluted oil to the palm of your hand. Glide the bristles of a dry brush across your palm, saturating the bristles with the essential oil blend. Start by brushing the feet and work your way upward, always brushing in the direction of the heart.
If you don’t want to apply the oil prior to dry brushing, can applying after.
You will apply your oil all over the body, trying to make sure your massage movements are going towards the heart and not away (this will help the lymphatic system). After you have applied your oil you will then get into the shower.
(Taking the shower after the oil application will help open the pores of the skin so it can uptake the oil.)
Dry Skin Brushing is an easy and cost-effective way to keep your skin soft and smooth as well as keep you healthy. By adding this technique to your daily routine, it can help to exfoliate dead skin cells, improve circulation, stimulate nerve endings, relax muscle tissue, and stimulate the lymphatic system
Dry skin brushing is also an effective way to support the body in eliminating toxins through the skin. It is very important that the body be able to adequately eliminate toxins. The body possesses its own natural routes of elimination which need to work optimally to avoid storage of toxins and prevent disease.
With the dry brush, you will want to move in circular movements on the skin moving towards the heart. This helps with lymphatic movement and exfoliating those dead skin cells on the body. It also has a warming effect.
Calendula oil has antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties that have shown it to be useful in healing wounds, soothing dry skin, and relieving irritated skin.
Calendula is primarily known as a healing plant because of its soothing abilities. It is beneficial for any wound healing you may need. Topical application of Calendula is used to keep wounds clean and help new tissue to grow. Calendula has can be used to relieve many types of skin conditions that may cause dry, itchy or irritated areas. Calendula has also been found to assist in slowing the development of wrinkles. The antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds in Calendula have been found to significantly protect against oxidative stress in human skin cells. Oxidative stress is an imbalance of damaging atoms and antioxidants. Calendula increases blood flow to the injury, promotes a speedy and healthy healing process, free of infection, and encourages the growth of healthy new tissue. In the cases of skin ulcers like chickenpox and acne, the herb softens and soothes the skin, preventing inflammation, boosting the immune response, which allows wounds to heal quickly and cleanly.
